Gourmet Island Claims The Kitchen Space in Alhambra; Another Local Brewery Opens, Ladyface Alehouse

1) San Gabriel Valley: A 'hounder shares new that The Kitchen space in Alhambra has been claimed and the new eatery, which just opened, is called Gourmet Island. Sinosoul was on hand for opening night and has already sampled the Hong Kong-style food, direct questions to him. [CH]

2) Agoura Hills: Another near-by brewery quietly sprouted about a month ago, and this one doubles as a Belgian-style brasserie. Ladyface Alehouse serves up typical Belgian eats in addition to a slew of libations made on-site: the Ladyface Tripel, La Trappistine (a Belgian dubbel), a barleywine, and a Kreik Lambic-style ale.
