MID-CITY— Sushi Roku returns to Third Street on Friday, just a quick glance into the "new" digs. As previously mentioned, updates include an expanded bar, a living wall on the patio, and a bonsai tree art installation. [EaterWire]
PASADENA— Tonight marks the debut of The Luggage Room Pizzeria, a pizza and salad concept from those behind La Grande Orange Cafe. Why the name? Because the restaurant is located in a former train station luggage room. Here, the pizza oven burns olive wood at 700°F, churning out creatively-topped pies like the Haas Avocado Festival (avocado, tomatoes, basil, lemon zest) and The Free Bird (spicy chicken sausage, clams, rapini). Urban Daddy shares the first photo. [UD]
AROUND TOWN— Still more pop-ups. Per the LA Times, Chef Kaumudi Marathé brings The Un-Curry Table to town on Nov 6 and Nov 13. Dinner costs $49 per person, location tba, score a resy here, check out the menu here. [LAT]
