MEALS ON WHEELS So much for brick and mortar pop-ups, now on to...food truck pop-ups. This weekend Starry Kitchen hijacks the Mandoline Grill truck and appears at Domaine LA wine store from 2-5PM on Sunday, full details here. [EaterWire]

MID-CITY Grub Street spots ply for online and mobile bakery Sweet E's, taking over a space previously occupied by Concept Floors. No word on opening date just yet. [Grub Street]

DOWNTOWN A Hamburger Today explores the over-thought Corkbar burger: "The patty was such a dessicated, hardened mass of ground meat that it was more of a slab of wan meatloaf than a burger patty. The grind was fine to the point of fast food mealiness and, even worse, came out rubbery. It wasn't just that it had been cooked well past my requested medium rare, but clearly it had endured a massive pre-seasoning...Despite all of the fresh ingredients, my burger tasted like a frozen-aisle Salisbury Steak sneaked into the bun."
