Remember that crazy bizarre story about ex-Food Network chef Juan-Carlos Cruz and his purported plan to hire a homeless person in Santa Monica to kill his wife? TMZ provides an update on that situation. Cruz has been in jail since May and was scheduled to attend a hearing this morning on his attempted murder charges. However, apparently Cruz has decided to accept a plea bargain, he will plead guilty to solicitation of murder and assume 9 years in prison.
