Status: Soft open today
Wow, what a change from the small, sometimes cramped quarters Mani's on Fairfax retained for over 20 years. Today Larry Maiman soft opens his vastly spacious, colorful new home to Beverly Hills residents via the introduction of Mani's on Maple. With all this additional room, Mani's 2.0 has expanded its offerings to breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus full bar and bakery, while staying true to its ethos, serving food that is both "good and good for you." Chef David Wolfe cooks organic fare for the health-conscious with many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free offerings. However, Mani's cornerstone, both on Fairfax and here one Maple, falls to its bakery stocked with muffins, cakes, scones, and more, all baked with alternate sweeteners, organic, too.
Plop down by the 40-seater (!) bar for specialty cocktails also using organic fruits and herbs, wines are either biodynamic, organic, or sustainably produced, and beers are locally sourced, some vegan, some gluten-free.
While Mani's soft opened at 8AM this morning for breakfast and lunch, the restaurant will be closed both Saturday and Sunday, then reopen at 8AM on Monday for breakfast and lunch again. Starting Tuesday Mani's goes whole hog.
