Late, late, late. Eater first caught word that Dakota within the Roosevelt Hotel was slated to undergo a revamp to be reborn as Public Kitchen & Bar over a year ago and still no dice. More recently, over the summer, the opening date was pushed to Septemberish, but the new word is that a debut shall finally occur in early 2011. Still rather vague. Anyway, Tim Goodell, executive chef and visionary behind the project, takes to the stoves this coming Saturday at Test Kitchen to prepare a sneak peek meal of bites to expect once Public Kitchen & Bar finally launches. The five course meal costs $50. [EaterWire]
