Native Foods Hits Culver City Today

Following Culver City's M Cafe shutter less than a month ago, Native Foods has officially claimed ground and opens today at 5PM! For anyone unfamiliar with the SoCal mini-chain, Native Foods serves up an organic vegan menu crafted by chef and owner Tanya Petrovna, don't miss the Native Chicken Wings, the Greek Gyro, the Scorpion Burger, and wash it all down with a watermelon fresca. All seven Native Foods cafes serve pretty much the same menu, but look out for seasonal specials at each location. Also, feel free to bring in a non-vegan, he/she will be hard pressed to realized he/she is eating at a dairy-free, meat-free establishment. Anyway, Quarry Girl attended this weekend's pre-opening festivities and reports on the spacious red interior, beers from Stone and Napa Smith on offer here, and a slew of new menu items like the Saigon Wrap (a take on the banh mi). According to a previous conversation with a Palm Springs Native Foods manager from several months back, this is just one of three new locations opening around LA.
