On Wednesday Jian Korean BBQ completes its transformation, reopening as Bao Dim Sum House on Beverly Blvd. While management is mostly the same, Jian owner Ji An has brought on new partner Howard Chan, and over the past few months the team has modified the restaurant's interior and brought on a new chef from San Gabriel Valley. Taking a tour through the space one notes those same round dining tables, same hanging orb light fixtures, and of course that Jian signage has been replaced by Bao. Stop by for shu mai, bao, pan-fried dumplings, and unlike traditional dim sum restaurants, Bao serves dumplings for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
