Axe Still Shuttered, Perhaps Gone For Good

Hold your breath, here comes a sad one. This past summer Abbot Kinney staple Axe experienced a devastating blaze. The perpetually packed, health-conscious, farm-to-table eatery maintained water and smoke damage, thus closed for repairs, however it's several months later and Axe is still shuttered. Frankly, doesn't look like much of anything is going on in there. Unfortunately, and check this out, Eater hears that Axe is up for sale, and a fellow chefriend even checked it out recently for a new venture. Apparently chef and owner Joanna Moore may reopen in a new location, but she also may not. In the meantime, she's catering.
