Here it is. A full reveal inside the perpetually delayed Red Medicine, a project conceived by Adam Fleischman (Umami), Jordan Kahn (former pastry chef at XIV and StarChefs Rising Star winner) and Noah Ellis (former head mixologist for Michael Mina restaurant group). And to answer the burning question regarding the opening, right now team Red Medicine plans a post-Thanksgiving debut, fingers crossed. But in the meantime, let's take a look around the high end experimental Vietnamese eatery. First off, the industrial space, minimalist in design and palette, was envisioned by movie production designer (The Take, Lincoln Lawyer) Charisse Cardenas, Red Medicine marks her foray into the world of restaurant design, an avenue she has always wanted to pursue as a foodie.

So, all that weathered wood paneling is actually reclaimed barn wood, the floor is composed of wood and polished concrete, all furniture (tables, chairs, bar stools) was custom-made, and check out the long rectangular kitchen window allowing guests just a peek inside. Red Medicine seats 65 in the main dining room and 25 in the bar/lounge area, from two-tops to booths to bar stools. Wow, hard to even recognize the old Hokusai...
