Last Thursday Sherman Oaks welcomed in new cafe and marketplace Sweet Butter, a project helmed by Leslie Danelian and husband Rick Berge, Leslie began her adventure in edibles as a food stylist and recipe writer, after which she started Sweet Somethings Catering Company over two decades ago. Think along the lines of Thyme Cafe & Market, Sweetsalt, and forthcoming Olive & Thyme, this is a place to come for lunch, early dinner, or grab and go, Valley residents also have a new place to stock up on fresh bread, olives, crackers, muffins, canned tomatoes, or just swing by for a cup of Intelligentsia coffee. Sweet Butter's space itself is quite interesting, there's plush outdoor banquette seating, a long atrium with a few tables, heat lamps (lamps also out front), and scattered greenery, over right lies the kitchen, with the retail space to the far left. Hours of operation run Tue-Fri, 7AM-7PM, Sat and Sun, 8AM-6PM.
