More Malo, here it comes. Slated to debut early December get ready for Mas Malo, a grown up rendition of Silver Lake Mexican staple, Malo. Positioned in the historic Clifton's Cafeteria building just next door to Seven Grand, check out the gorgeous ballroom-esque raw space (quite the departure from Silver Lake), which is currently undergoing a few modern touches from designer Tracy Beckmann of Tracy Beckmann Design (the Tar Pit). Notice the early signs of that signature black and white zigzag tile bar behind an oversized black and silver zigzag backsplash, an interesting mix of old a new design. While the menu is still a work in progress, overall expect Malo classics to grace the menu (hopefully the chewy chips make it down here) such as the ground beef and pickle tacos in addition to a bevy of newbies.
