Long gone are the days when LC and The Hills crew would party it up in former hot spot, Les Deux. The club closed it doors this past summer and reemerged with yesterday's soft launch as a gastropub. Now the eatery boasts a new bar, chandeliers, and pale chocolate and white hues, not to mention those neon green chairs. Last night Eater popped by for a quick looksee, though due to a Christmas party taking over the majority of the space, only the bar was open. According to an employee, the club area hasn't changed much and is set to open in the new year.
Seasoned bartenders Joel Black, Giovanni Martinez (Buffalo Club), and Jason Roby pooled together to conceive the cocktail menu (think a modern take on the classics), come by to watch them sling drinks Wednesday through Sunday nights. Last night's beverage of choice fell to the Smashed Irishman (Jameson, lemon, basil, red bell peppers, honey, and Guinness reduction) which tasted spicy and sweet, just the way we like it.
