1) Mid-City: Plywood has been up forever outside the above pictured eatery on La Brea just south of American Rag. Kelly Architects (Mozza) handles the design, word on the street is that a mom and pop Spanish tapas restaurant will debut. [EaterWire]

2) Manhattan Beach: Feast brings word that Hotdoggers Restaurant has claimed 1605 N. Sepulveda Blvd slated to serving "California beach BBQ." [Feast]

3) Pasadena: Construction is underway at AKA A Bistro opening next month in the former Gordon Biersch space. Brigham Yen shares plywood photos which include plans for a glassed-in wine cellar, a new bar, plus private dining rooms. [PRwBY]

4) West Hollywood: The transformation from Sona to Mezze continues over on La Cienega. While team Voyeur (Matt Brendik, Dave Koral, Mike Kassar, chef Micah Wexler) originally hoped to open late November, the new launch has been pushed to February. [EaterWire]
