LA Creamery, the artisan ice cream shop which (proudly) sources its organic dairy from Straus Family Creamery, started scooping late November at the Westfield Topanga mall. Now, owners are gearing up to launch location two on February 15 inside The Americana at Brand (next to Crumbs Bake Shop). As for future expansion plans, LA Creamery owners really wanted to score space within Santa Monica Place, but Venice's N'Ice Cream jumped the gun and signed a lease first, so owners are still "aggressively" scouting for a west side space. That plus two other deals pending, one at Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks and the other at the new Montecito Country Mart up north. They also passed on a space next to Delfine at W Hollywood.
In other LAC news, as a New Year's Eve special, the Westfield Topanga shop will offer sorbet made from Dom Perignon 2002 Vintage. Be prepared to throw down $9 per single scoop or $25 a pint (also available for delivery in the Los Angeles area with a one pint minimum).
