Night + Market Debuts on the Sunset Strip

New, 3 comments

Eater was on the scene last night for the soft opening of Night + Market the late night spot celebrating street food from Sunset Strip Thai favorite Talesai's owner Kris Yenbamroong. The menu features Thai street favorites like sausage made from grilled pork shoulder, crispy catfish over green mango salad and tiny fried chicken wings. The food is accompanied by a diverse selection of wines well-matched to the spicy and aromatic cuisine along with a selection of beers from Southeast Asia and beyond.

The white-walled space, which is adjacent to Talesai and shares a kitchen, is open and airy. Framed photographs adorn one wall while a Thai martial arts film was projected on the opposite. Seating is mostly on large communal tables, meant to evoke the convivial atmosphere of the leisurely evening marketplaces that are the restaurant's namesake.

Currently open Thursday-Sunday until midnight, expanded hours are expected in the future.
