Beverly Hills Institution Jacopo's Pizza Calls It Quits

New, 9 comments

After serving Beverly Hills for 40 years, Jacopo's Pizza has folded due to slow business as a result of the recession. On AOL Answers Barry Fogel, president of Jacopo's, writes:

"Sadly, Jacopo's has been losing money since the recession hit a few years back. The slowdown of regular customers and the pizza price wars with the big chains made it impossible to keep going."
The restaurant's answering machine confirms the shutter also adding that "we hope to be back in Beverly Hills in the future." [EaterWire]
