1) Santa Monica: Despite efforts to reincarnate the successful monthly Hatchi series held at Breadbar Century City, not a huge shocker to hear that the Santa Monica outpost of Breadbar has called it quits. Not too long ago the restaurant "temporarily shuttered" due to technical difficulties, but now the official word is in. Owners are trying to sell or sublease the SM location, and have been shopping around for interested parties. [EaterWire]
2) Beverly Hills: Marty D's, the small retro 1950s-themed diner on Beverly Drive has announced that it will say good bye on Valentine's Day. Until then, mention Yelp and get 15% off an order of $10 or more. [EaterWire]
3) Westwood: For anyone thinking cheaper chain restaurants aren't affected by the economy, think again. Chili's on Westwood Blvd too has signed off as of February 9. [EaterWire]
4) OC: Last week the final lone outpost of MaggieMoo's ice cream shop shuttered as well. Prior to the recession owners maintained four locations but have since sold each, a direct result of the economy. [OCR]
