Stefan's on Montana Opening Monday, Café de Camacho and Yojie Debut, MORE

New, 2 comments

SANTA MONICA— Contrary to popular belief, Stefan's on Montana is not open yet. Just testing out the waters and training staff, a full debut comes Monday. The casual restaurant does not have a liquor license so BYOB is encouraged ($10), and will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items are inspired by his time spent in Switzerland and the dinner menu boasts a variety of fondues. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— Blogdowntown shares news on two week old coffee hub Café de Camacho. Right now the eatery serves a menu of hot chocolates, pastries, and pre-made salads and sandwiches, and eventually plans to hold poetry readings and other events. [blogdowntown]

DOWNTOWN— One more opener to round out the day which also involves fondue. Urban Daddy brings word of new sushi-less DIY eatery Yojie (pictured above). Here, it's all about shabu-shabu, fondue, and "Japanese floats" made from rice soda and ice cream. [UD]

SANTA MONICA— From 6:30-9PM Thursday and Friday night La Cachette Bistro will offer a free Macallan 18 year single malt scotch tasting. No reservation necessary. [EaterWire]
