Philippe's Temporarily Closed For Cockroach Infestation

Lot's of news surrounding Philippe's lately. Yesterday morning we shared news that former owner William “Bill” Binder had passed away at the age of 94, and now comes word that the famed eatery has been shuttered by county health inspectors because of a cockroach infestation. Ew. The buggers were discovered Wednesday morning and inspectors chose to close the eatery for 48 hours for extermination purposes. Inspectors are set to come back this morning to make sure the place is clean and Philippe's French Dipped Sandwiches could reopen as early as noon. [LAT]
