Yesterday, Spanish-born small plates guru Jose Andres prepared a lunch at the White House for President Obama and the King of Spain, Juan Carlos. Andres's menu included an arugula salad with apples, grilled shrimp in tomato sauce, and an apple tart for dessert. Yesterday, Jose was also made an official member of the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board by Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. For a goofy guy, Andres sure knows how to get around Washington. [Business Age via Eater National]
