Despite the posted notice, Local 1205 isn't quite ready to open, or even open soon. Peeking in through the exterior it's obvious the space is still plywood central, no internal walls finished, concrete floors, visible steel beams, and such. The last word, not too long ago, was that proprietor Craig Weiss "engaged in a 'pretty heated' discussion with Abbot Kinney residents about the venue staying open until 3AM" and now he is looking for community support. The posting states that Local 1205 will be a
"organic, gourmet market/cafe featuring specialty food, gourmet retail products, beer and wine, charcuterie, cheese cave, gourmet sandwiches, prepared foods, oyster bar, coal/wood fired pizza, fresh cut flowers, organic seasonal produce, organic juices, organic smoothies, organic coffees, pastries, desserts, and more!"Phew, that's a whole lot of stuff. Anyway, those in support can sign a petition available in The Otheroom, or write an e-mail to the zoning administrator's office: email@example.com. Yes, no, maybe so, it's up to you.
