On Monday The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge at the Grove reopened after an extensive remodel, replacing the drab, dated interior with new booths, chandeliers, tables, bar top and more. Notice tables now are covered with tablecloths and the restaurant also added new stemware and flatware to spruce up the overall look. The color scheme is still on the dark side but the mix of bistro chairs, tufted booths, and modern lighting fixtures create a sleeker, refreshed look. Because the restaurant is at the Grove, chef Anthony Jacquet shares that he must cook a menu that appeals to a broader demographic but the menu does change seasonally and he can still be found that the Wednesday Santa Monica farmers market.
