What's Going On At Mignon? Delays, Delays, Delays.

Way back in November, came word that Santos Uy and Danny Kronfli, the boys behind Bacaro, were planning a new wine bar downtown called Mignon. The opening was slated for winter, but as the weather begins to thaw (kind of), no such news has trickled in. Unfortunately, it appears the space is still very much under construction, though devoid of workers, generally a mess, and certainly no where near ready to open. So, what's the deal? Neighboring business mention owners have run into permit issues and apparently nobody has seen a soul there since the end of December to work or for any other constructive purpose. There’s also a little sign on the locked glass door written by the finger of a desperate fan that simply says, “Please Open.” We couldn’t agree more. In other news, Uy and Kronfli are rumored to be opening a second outpost of Bacaro on the east side.
