The wine list is California-centric with most bottles sourced from usual suspects, Napa and Sonoma, but the cocktail program headed be Matt Bergstrom seems a bit more interesting. Think Diplomatic Manhattan with Diplomatico Reserve Rum, vanilla bean extract, bitters and sweet vermouth; the Spicy Mojito with Serrano-chile-infused rum, coconut, cilantro, mint and lime; and the Navarro Sunset with Hangar One Buddha’s Hand Citron, Cointreau, orange, lime and Navarro Vineyards Pinot Noir grape juice. Dinner tonight starts at 5PM, come hungry.

Feel free to take a stroll through Dish Bistro & Bar, the newest addition to Union St which has finally opened on this rainy day. Here, exposed brick meets a simple black and dark red color scheme with a soaring exposed ceiling and framed black and white photos bedecking the walls. Executive chef Job Carder serves a straight forward Italian-French market-driven menu (sounds like...Fraiche) that calls for anything and everything local when possible. All breads, pastas, sausages, bacon, prosciutto and pancetta are all made in house. Sweet. Both smaller and larger plates are offered, priced between $5 and $21 so so big groups and couples fare equally well.
