Drai's Hollywood, Upper West, Fig & Olive, MORE!

1) Hollywood: Hot on the heels of the W's debut, Drai's Hollywood, the super insane 20,000 square foot multi-level club situation slated to take over part of the hotel, is still in plywood mode. While the original opening was projected for December, the launch has been pushed and now looks like March 7 to coincide with Ryan Secrest's Oscar Party, followed by the public debut on March 11. 2) Santa Monica: Checking back in at 3321 Pico, Upper West is well on its way and should be ready for the public in about two weeks. [EaterWire]

3) Marina del Rey: No major developments happening at Naked Sushi's replacement, Bin 73. However, for those out of work in the Venice area, the restaurant is currently looking for servers. [EaterWire]

4) Hollywood: Minor developments on the Vincent Laresca supper club/club thing. Though the space is still under construction, once complete it will embody a Spanish salsa theme. [EaterWire] —YE

5) Brentwood: According to Toddrickallen, breezy NYC Mediterranean restaurant Fig & Olive is trying to take over the vacant space by Lululemon on the corner of San Vicente and Montana. Apparently, some residents are anti Fig & Olive because they feel that San Vicente already has too many restaurants. Blasphemy! [Toddrickallen]

6) Downtown: Woah, soon The Gorbals will have a new pal because yet another restaurant is planned for the Alexandria Hotel. From a recent downtown planning meeting we learn that said restaurant will offer a full array of alcoholic beverages, cover 2,505 square feet on the ground floor of the buliding, offer 59 seats, and remain open daily 24 hours.
