1) West Hollywood: After transforming from Guy's to Guys & Dolls, the club/lounge is now undergoing some construction and has applied for a restaurant or "Public Eating" license. [EaterWire]

2) Downtown: Remember that Sonora Cafe shutter back in October 2008? Well, owner Ron Salisbury has finally found a new home for the restaurant, the former Liberty Grill space at 1037 South Flower Street in South Park. [EaterWire]

3) West Hollywood: Coming to the Pavillions shopping center at the corner of Santa Monica and Robertson is Fresh East. However, there appears to be a major hold up because of name and LLC restrictions. Looks like it could be something Asian. [EaterWire]

4) Echo Park: The former Par Paint shop on Sunset Boulevard and Lemoyne Street will be transformed into Xôia Vietnamese Eats to serve Vietnamese fare cooked by local artist Jose Sarinana and his wife Ho Thien. Look for pho and and rustic central Vietnamese fare, this place is still at least two months off. [The Eastsider]

5) Mid-City: B+S notes that Sushi on La Cienega has claimed the former Ronin Izakaya Bistro space on...La Cienega. [B+S]

6) Mid-City: Signage for forthcoming The Capital Grille is now up, though looks like the restaurant is still very much in plywood mode. [EaterWire]
