SANTA CLARITA— On March 28 from 2-5PM the College of the Canyons Culinary Arts Program will host a six-course meal titled Men are from Malt, Woman are from Vinos. The idea here is that each guest will receive both a beer and wine pairing for each course served ($55 per ticket or $100 per couple) plus a voting card for which beverage pairs best. Wines were selected by LA's only Master Sommelier Elizabeth Schweitzer with beers selected by the likes of Ryan Sweeney (Verdugo/Surly Goat), Brian Lenzo (Blue Palms Brewhouse), among other heavy hitters. To reserve a spot call 661-362-3425. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— Hollywood's new Tender Greens, which just opened last week, is already up to some good. Since the eatery is located a stones throw from the Sunday Hollywood Farmers Market, chef Fermin Arias has decided to hit up the market Sunday mornings and based on what he finds that day create a slew of lunch and dinner specials for the week.
