1) West LA: A tipster shares, "Looks like PhoReign in West LA (Sawtelle) is closed and a new branch of Wakasaya from downtown is taking over. Walked by yesterday and there were hand written signs on the windows." After stopping by, the space is indeed under construction with colorful window signage announcing the new tenant. [Eater Inbox]

2) K-Town: Grub Street spots signage for anew shabu shabu spot Shabu-ya coming to Koreatown's Solair residences. The space is very much under construction though signage displaying the eatery name has been posted. [GS]

3) Santa Monica: Looks like a new restaurant is headed to the corner of Broadway and 6th on the ground floor inside one of the new apartment buildings. A liquor license application hangs in the window under the name of Ponte Milvio LLC. [EaterWire]

4) Culver City: Also in the works, Mezza Mediterranean Grill. Coming to Washington Blvd in Culver City the spot looks just about ready to debut with a pending liquor license. [GS]
