2008_04_bucks.jpgStarbucks has recently offered a slew of initiatives aimed at luring in new customers. The mega chain recently introduced “Pike Place Brew” a $1.50 cup of coffee, gun-strapped members are welcome customers, and yesterday Starbucks gave out freebie pastries with the purchase of a beverage. Now, after 10 years of only selling the NY Times, shops across the country will sell USA Today, providing an alternative for those who don't read the Times. Chris Bruzzo, VP for brand content chalks it up to "provid[ing] our customers with more selection in how they choose to source their news content and customize their Starbucks experience."
