1) Culver City: Grub Street brings word that Mezza Grill is now open for biz. Chef Najwa serves up a bevy of "real" Lebanese home cooked dishes, check out the lengthy menu and the above shown interior, not so much going on, a few ethnic flourishes plus a couple outdoor tables for warmer days like these. 9901 Washington Blvd., Culver City; 310-202-7888

2) Anaheim: At 7AM today Ruby's Diner opened its first retro-outfitted drive-in restaurant, so fun! Think girls on roller skates serving an abbreviated Ruby's menu. Inside, diners may order breakfast, lunch, or dinner off the full menu. 1128 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim; 714-635-7829

3) Encino: Two and a half months after opening California's first outpost of the Italian sub chain, Capriotti's, owners debut eatery two today in Encino. Stop by to try Thanksgiving on a roll aka The Bobby with homemade turkey, whole cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo. 16101 Ventura Blvd., Encino; 818-986-2838

9901 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA
