In a clear bid to make sure that Southern California, from west to east, is a hub for organic, sustainable cafés/marketplaces, Four Café in Eagle Rock is open and ready for business. This charming, small café-slash-marketplace on a strip of Colorado Blvd plays new neighbor to a host of other friendly dining establishments and cute shops. Basically, the kind of place that’s sure to get some foot traffic, a rarity in Los Angeles.
Open now from 11AM – 9PM, Four Café is set to start opening earlier next month with a breakfast menu offering the likes of Grilled Zucchini with Basil and Parmesan in Eggs, House Made Granola, and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Turns out, breakfast is the most important meal of the day in Eagle Rock, too.
Their current seasonal lunch, snack, and dinner menu includes Smoked Albacore Salad, Fresh English Pea Soup, Pork Loin Sandwiches, and a case of ready-made cold salads and sides. In case you've got a sweet tooth, try the Meyer Lemon Yogurt Cake that looks even more lip-smacking than it sounds. The café is a casual outpost of an archetypal Southern Californian, Slow-Food-Movement-loving, healthy lifestyle. The décor is largely made up of various shades of wood, making for a very luxe/rustic atmosphere in which to scarf down your quinoa.
