Here, a few Plywood sightings in our fair city. See something moving in, renovating, changing? The tipline is always open.
1) Mid-City: Claiming the old Aveda salon space by the parking garage entrance at the Grove comes Wonderland Bakery, a Newport Beach-based sweets shop and toy store slated to open this fall. Check out the menu offerings here. [EaterWire]
2) Santa Monica: How's it going over at Sweet Rose Creamery? Still a few weeks out, inspections are happening this week and the interior should be ready to go by the end of next week. [EaterWire]
3) Downtown: Dig Lounge reports that Uncle John's Cafe is opening a new location in the old Mother Road space within the Stillwater Hotel at 9th and Grand. Slated to open in May, the Chinese/American eatery will start off by offering breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday, with dinner to follow Wednesday through Saturday nights. [Dig Lounge]
