Pinks Opens at Universal CityWalk, El Camino Coming to Echo Park, The Great American Bake Sale This Weekend

New, 1 comment

STUDIO CITY— Grub Street reports that on Monday Pink's is throwing a grand opening party for its newest location at Universal CityWalk in Studio City. The vivacious Betty White will be on hand to have a dog named after her: "Betty Naked in the City." [GS]

ECHO PARK— Tony's Darts Away reopened earlier this week, and Feast brings word that owner Tony Yanow has another project in the works. He will transform the old Ramona Theater into El Camino, a restaurant and bar serving beer and wood-fired pizzas. The original opening was slated for fall 2010 but delays have pushed that debut. MID-CITY— Just a quick reminder that if you're not at Coachella this weekend, The Great American Bake Sale takes place on Saturday from 10:30AM to 1:30PM at Morel’s in The Grove. Lots of sweet treats from 50 local blogger bakers. [EaterWire]
