Villa Tacos' Grand Opening Party, Culver City

1) Culver City: A new taco joint, Villa Tacos, opened with much fanfare - including a Mariachi band - last weekend. A few blocks from downtown Culver City, the spot serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. 10022 Venice Blvd., Culver City; 310-839-1757

2) Costa Mesa: At 10:30AM today Cafe Rio opens its second outpost in O.C. Known for its Tex-Mex food, it currently operates more than 30 restaurants in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, California, Colorado and Arizona. The chain’s first fast-casual restaurant opened in Lake Forest last year. It plans to open a third O.C. restaurant next month in Tustin. 253 E. 17th St., Costa Mesa; 949-334-9292

3) Hollywood: The cupcake movement isn't over yet. Rock 'n Roll Cupcakes made its debut recently and is still looking for staff. One major requirement? You must "be ok [with] working in a pink colored shop." 7107 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles; 323-851-1400

4) Studio City: Who knew Betty White could make such a salacious come-back? Pink's At The Universal Art Walk opens today.
