Breadbar Launches Hatchi Mix, Cocktail Tasting Series

Resulting from the popularity of Breabar's Hatchi series, on May 6 the restaurant launches Hatchi Mix, eight cocktails priced at $8 created by a different mixologist on the first Thursday of every month at Breadbar Century City. Does this mean liquid dinner? Not necessarily because some of the events will also feature guest chefs invited by the presenting mixologist to prepare small plates to complement the cocktail selections (in addition to the menu that is served daily). Good call. To kick things off The Tasting Kitchen's Devon Espinosa presents “Vive le Cocktail,” a set of pre-Prohibition libations like the Sazerac, the Martinez, the Manhattan, The Last Word, and more. Also, going forward Devon will oversee the invitation of future guest mixologists which, right now, includes Joel Black of Caña Rum Bar at The Doheny, highlighting Rum cocktails on June 3, and Julian Cox of Rivera, with a focus on Tequilas on July 1.
