After SIV's original first bites, she returns to Delphine for a more comprehensive taste that merits a two star review: "Delphine has captivating looks, a hard-working staff and French Mediterranean food that has a little something for everyone. It's not Cannes — or even Café Boulud or Bouchon — but it's a bright new star on Hollywood Boulevard...The food from chef Sascha Lyon is updated French Mediterranean bistro fare. And it's very competent for a venue this big and this new...[it's a] hip hotel restaurant, but with prices moderate enough that guests don't feel hustled." Mac and cheese is a hands down winner, as are escargots, steak au poivre, and moules frites, the usual suspects. Wines are generally reasonably priced with many choices under $50 and dessert is "simple and direct." [LAT]
