AROUND TOWN— According to JoonAng Daily, the "McDonald’s of bibimbap," aka Bibigo, is coming to LA. The chain recently opened its first outpost in Seoul and the plan now is to open three branches each in Beijing, Los Angeles and Singapore. [JoonAng Daily via GS]

DOWNTOWN— Drago Centro launches The People’s Cocktail Contest an ongoing competition beginning May 17. Submit your fave cocktail recipe using the secret ingredient of the week in 140 characters or less via Twitter to @DragoCentro. Cocktails will be judged on presentation including name, appearance, aroma, taste, creativity, as well as its compatibility with the existing Drago Centro cocktail list.
