Carolos Tomazos and Brendan Collins' Waterloo & City is set to finally fling that bright red door open and they're doing so... Tonight! Starting with just dinner service, its time to taste the heavily anticipated gastropub menu that has been slowly revealed in recent months. Culling their culinary and restaurateur expertise from such NY and LA institutions as Per Se, Melisse, and Palihouse (which is where the two first met), Tomazos and Collins bring French and English cuisine together under the prized and popular concept of the "gastropub." The restaurant's modern, inviting design is a welcome addition to an area of Culver City's dining scene that's been otherwise populated with smaller, more lunch-friendly cafes.
Expect weekend brunch and weekday lunch hours to start soon, as well. The restaurant is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10PM; Friday and Saturday from 5PM to midnight. The bar is open Thursday from 5PM to midnight; Friday and Saturday from 5PM to 2AM.
