Appearing a few blocks over from Mozza and Hatfield's is Paddy Rice, a small Vietnamese restaurant on Melrose. Owner William Shin explains that the restaurant will serve "100% Vietnamese cuisine with 30% twist to it," though as for the twist, he said, "you'll have to come and see." Right now the eatery is going through all that rigmarole of final inspections and such, but Shin hopes to open the first week of June. Hopes to open the first week of June. In the meantime, a quick interior plywood shot shows a smallish, long dining space with blonde wood paneling, wood-topped tables, overall seems like a simple, modern, clean approach. More to come.
