Hard Times Hit East, Restaurant Cuts Days of Operation

Through the grapevine came word that just eight months after opening sleek restaurant/lounge East, the David Judaken-owned (My House, My Studio) venue was struggling and had shuttered as of Saturday. Rumor had it that immediate plans were to open the space only for private events and eventually revamp it into a new spot all together. However, upon further investigation, according to management from Judaken's Syndicate Hospitality Group, East is "currently still open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We are retooling the menu. Until we reach a place where the menu is what we feel it needs to be to cater to the demographic of the area, the sushi bar will be all that's served."
