Welcome back to another Plywood Report, where we track some of the latest openings around town. Spot something new that we've missed? Let us know.

1) Santa Monica: Look for two new eateries coming to the Santa Monica Pier. First up is Soda Jerks, an old school soda fountain and ice cream parlor slated to open early July inside the Carousel Building. Also in the works, Al Mare, a family-style Italian eatery from the restaurant group behind Trastevere on the Third Street Promenade. Al Mare is set to take over the old Arcadia space. [SMDP] —YE

2) Mid-City: As previously reported, Michel Richard Patisserie shall relocate from Robertson to Melrose. According to Feast, the venue will reopen under the name Maison Richard in the former Melrose on Fire Grill location the first week of June. [Feast]

3) Santa Monica: Grub Street notices a new lunchtime haunt sprouting on Ocean Park: The Sandwich Spot. This marks the first LA outpost for the Sacramento-based chain, preview all eats here. [GS]

4) Santa Monica: Taking over the old Creative Sushi location on Main Street comes Madame Chou Chou. No word on specifics just yet. [EaterWire]
