HOLLYWOOD- LA WineFest celebrates its fifth anniversary this year at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood on June 5th and 6th. Tickets are on sale now and the event usually sells out well in advance. Guests will enjoy tasting over 100 wines, wine and spirits classes, cheese pairing seminars, and (what else?) food trucks galore. Shamble on over here for tickets and info. [EaterWire]

CULVER CITY- Bay Area artist Scott Hove has a new exhibition at the Scion LA gallery in Culver City called CAKELAND. The plywood and cardboard sculptures are made to look like cakes out of some twisted Duff Goldman meets H.R. Giger Kafka dream. The sculptures are "frosted" with acrylic using traditional cake frosting tools. The show opens tomorrow (with a reception featuring the artist) and runs through June 12. [EaterWire]
