Status: Opens tonight
Today's opening of Cafe Habana seems to have slightly overshadowed this evening's launch of the eagerly anticipated Red O, so for anyone that might have forgotten, just a friendly reminder that the gorgeous modern Mexican mecca also starts serving tonight. Preview the beachy Mexican-inspired interior here, note the hanging bar chairs, tequila tunnel, inlaid stone floor, handmade chandeliers, there's just so much going on in there. As everybody knows by now, revered Chicago Mexican master Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill, Topolobampo) consulted on the menu and has lent his name to the restaurant, so for all those claiming he won't ever be around to shoot the breeze, we'll just have to wait and see. And as for a menu, feel free to peruse here.
