Yesterday Eater SF reported that ex-Ubuntu chef Jeremy Fox had landed a gig as chef at Daniel Patterson's Plum coming to Oakland this Summer. This news arrives after Fox shacked up for a week inside the Animal kitchen with his week-long pop-up of veggie-based dinners that attracted meat eaters alike to a full week of sold out success. Would LA welcome Fox into its dining scene? After his impressive showing at Animal, surely that answer is yes. Nonetheless, the chef fought down rumors last week about a potential LA project, and despite his new Oakland venture, two separate sources close to Fox have revealed that he either was or is seriously considering an LA eatery, specifically in Culver City. Anyway, as it goes, time will tell.
