Yikes. Remember all that commotion last summer around Mid-Wilshire where nearby restaurants started calling the police about food trucks that tried to park and sell in the area? Surely the trucks provided a welcome relief from the franchise wasteland for local office works, especially around the 5700 block. It has been almost a year since than, what's the effect? Well, LAist recaps recent brick and mortar shutters that have occured around 5700 Wilshire. First Toshi's Fresh Asian couldn't make it, followed by Organic to Go, and most recently Koo Koo Roo, but that was because of their whole bankruptcy situation (Mid-City, and Woodland Hills locations shuttered as well). Should the trucks stay or should the trucks go?
