No need to recount the drama/saga again regarding David Myers and his crumbling empire, but most recently, after much speculation, came word that his once flagship eatery Sona would shutter and reopen in a new location. Yesterday the restaurant sent out an email finally announcing doomsday: "Our last day of service will be Saturday, May 15th." Looks like everybody has something to say about the situation and within those 100 comments from the last update, readers suggest that Sona could reopen in Century City, though apparently that deal might have fallen through. However, some fresh new info. David Myers will open a new restaurant and is looking downtown. Not a huge shocker considering its one of the hottest dining neighborhoods right now. However, the question is, does he plan to open another branch of Comme Ca down there, or could that be the potential new home for Sona? Restaurant employees seem to lean to the latter, comments and additional tips welcome down below.
