So, about that restaurant taking over former Amazon Bar & Grill space on Ventura, according to LAW it's actually going to be called Mad Bull Tavern with a slated opening for May 20. Owner Richard Disisto (Lucy's 51 in Toluca Lake) gutted the space and remodeled it to resemble, well, a tavern with floor to ceiling exposed brick and metal embellishments. The "gourmet comfort food" menu crafted by chef Andrew Crawley (Foxtail, Hyatt West Hollywood, Sunset Beach) will incorporate local produce for lunch and dinner. As for price, appetizers start at $6, and entrees range from $12-$21.
