On June 30 Animal is back with a second round of guest cheffing, though this time the engagement is a solo one night performance only. Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli of Frankies Spuntino (Frankies 17, Frankies 457) in NYC hit the west coast for a night of cooks and books. Angelenos are in for a treat! The duo will serve their signature rustic Italian dishes with recipes from the forthcoming Frankies Spuntino cookbook, hopefully the sweet potato ravioli in Parmesan broth makes the cut (please?). Scoring a bite of Frankies Spuntino on the west coast is totally worth the $60 price tag, which also includes a copy of the book (wine pairing in an additional $30). [EaterWire]
