The cover story, A Delicious Guide to Lunch in LA, in this month's Los Angeles Magazine is all about lunch (per LAmag, the "middle child" of our 3 daily meals). Most of the main picks are featured in three categories - the now-obligatory food truck inclusions, along with sandwich shops and swanky sit-downs. In addition, they've thrown in some ethnic markets (Mitsuwa, Mercado La Paloma) and a "Choose Your Own" adventure guide with a smattering of lunch spots across town, ranging from M Cafe to Drago Centro, Lemonade to Polo Lounge.
The sandwich rundown is the most specific, with particular sandwich recommendations matched to each spot. There are the old standbys (Philippe's Beef Dip, Bay Cities' Godmother, the Oinkster pastrami), but also some new faves (All About the Bread's Meatball sub) and others off the beaten path (Attari's tongue sandwich, Banh Mi My Tho in Alhambra).
